The Cordyceps mushroom is an extraordinary fungus, to say the least - it has been used as a mushroom powder extensively in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, due to its abundant source of health benefits when consumed [1, 2].
The cordyceps mushroom is traditionally used to treat fatigue, low sex drive and kidney disease. However, as this mushroom has undergone more research, the important bioactive compounds, such as cordycepin, show that they may promote biological activities that help to reduce inflammation, increase libido and prevent oxidative stress (anti-aging) [3, 4].
The cordyceps mushroom doesn’t stop there, research shows that the mushroom may have beneficial effects on lipid metabolism [5, 6], protection of your mitochondria – the powerhouse of the cell  and can improve your endurance to prolonged and high-intensity exercise [3, 8, 9]. How should I store my mushroom powder?
We recommend refrigerating the powder once opened to prevent it from solidifying if stored in a humid or damp environment.
If you're particularly worried about your powder absorbing moisture, store it in a sealed glass jar for extra long-term freshness!
