A lot of people are buzzing about our Keto//OS Starter-Packs.
These are exogenous ketones... In a nutshell, this means that you can experience the health and performance benefits of ketones, without having to necessarily be on a Classic Ketogenic Diet, especially if that type of diet is not appropriate for your ethnicity, genetics, or activity levels.
How you take Keto//OS depends a lot on what you want to achieve.
- Start with 1/2 a sachet per day for 2 days.
- Use a full sachet on Day 3 and note how you feel and if there is any discomfort.
- Try the different formulas and note how you feel, whether there are any digestive or other issues.
Note: we find that there are different tolerances and dosing strategies that work. For example. I (Cliff) often use a 1/2 sachet, mixed with 1 x Tbsp. of MCT Oil so that I can get the benefits, with a more sustained keto response. Although sometimes, I'll just whack back a MAX if I feel I need a bigger hit!
To improve fueling for performance, take Keto//OS before training sessions or events. For best results take the product about 30 min before you expect to really need extra fuel. If you are doing long events you can take Keto//OS during the event as well. Think of it like a no-sugar sports drink.
For focus, mood and cognition:
One of the key reasons for using ketones is brain health. To improve focus, mood, and cognition through the day, simply take a 1/2 to 1 sachet whenever you feel that your mental energy is dropping, or if you are experiencing 'brain fog'.
To help with sleep:
Ketones can change the GABA-Glutamate ratio in the brain and increase relative adenosine levels...which is a geeky way of saying that they can help the brain to relax and therefore help you to sleep better. Try taking a Keto//OS around 30min before bed...but make sure it's the caffein-free (not 'charged') formula!
To aid weight management:
Ketones won't magically help you to strip fat...(despite what some people claim!). BUT they can help to reduce sugar cravings, increase satiety, and allow people to have a longer fasting window...which altogether can aid fat-loss and weight-management. For weight-management, many people either replace breakfast or lunch with a sachet of Keto//OS, and this helps them to apply intermittent fasting more effectively and thereby reduces their calories...resulting in weight-loss!
For muscle gain:
Ketones taken after exercise can help increase mTor activation and stimulate muscle growth. Taking Keto//OS 1/2-1 sachet after training along with your protein drink might be the best strategy for those wanting maximum muscle growth.
